Art Institute Visit

The Art Institute of Charlotte’s students studying in the Fashion Marketing program will be visiting on December 14th for a detailed tour to gain a “hands on” knowledge of the textile industry.  These students have been spending the semester discussing the step-by-step process of how fiber is transformed into a finished fabric.  At the Textile Technology Center, they will have the chance to see first hand the entire manufacturing process.  The tour gives students the opportunity to see how the textile theory studied in class is applied in an actual textile manufacturing facility.  Interaction with Art Institute Instructors and students is always a fun time for the staff at the Textile Technology Center.
