At Gaston College

Where do textile and fiber companies go when they need a centralized source of technical support for their business? For over 60 years that place has been the Textile Technology Center in Belmont, NC.

Since its inception in 1941, the Center has played a significant role in helping the North Carolina textile industry remain competitive, manufacture quality products, and maintain a well-trained workforce.

Over time, the areas of need within textile firms have changed and evolved, but the Center has always remained flexible and evolved along with the need.

Today with input from an Advisory Board of textile professionals from across the state, the Textile Center focuses on providing testing services, product prototyping, and sample production in several areas.

With state of the art equipment, the Textile Technology Center strives to provide the most up to date solutions to fiber producers, textile and apparel manufacturers, and retailers most specialized needs.
